As part of the first Lunar Series, the Lunar Series I Snake Gold is one of the most sought-after investment coins. This gold coin is particularly popular among collectors.

The Perth Mint minted the Lunar Series I for the first time from 1997 to 2007. The animal motifs change annually, in line with the Chinese lunar calendar, which repeats every 12 years. Each motif has a special meaning; for example, the Chinese zodiac sign Snake represents wisdom. Those born under this sign are considered sensitive, prudent, and possess above-average insight into human nature.

Due to the low mintage and rarity, significant premiums can be expected on the purchase price. The mintage of this coin was limited to 18,149 pieces worldwide, making it a great rarity.
