The Mexican silver bullion coin has been minted by the Casa de Moneda de México since 1982, making it the oldest silver bullion coin in the world. Over time, the silver coin has been adjusted several times in both size and design.

The obverse features the goddess of victory standing on a pedestal in front of two volcanoes. The reverse depicts the Mexican national emblem, an eagle holding a snake between its beak and claws, surrounded by what appears to be a battle between the two animals.
